Job Summary
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy targeting Federal agencies, including the Army, DISA, Navy, Air Force, and Department of Homeland Security. Manage the full BD lifecycle from opportunity identification and capture strategy to proposal support and contract transition. Establish trusted relationships with DoD decision-makers and industry partners while delivering weekly progress reports. Monitor government portals daily to identify strategic fit opportunities and provide capture planning for operational and strategic initiatives. Forecast new opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive growth.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 10 or more years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales within the Federal Government and/or Department of Defense (DoD) information technology market
- Experience developing and executing market-entry and growth strategies
- Proven ability and demonstrated success in capturing small and large-scale DoD contracts, preferably in information technology
- Demonstrated experience working with POM processes and contracting vehicles (e.g., IDIQ)
- Experience building relationships with federal acquisition offices and collaborating with subcontractor and prime Federal Contractors
- Experience pursuing tactical, operational, and strategic business development opportunities
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, as required
