Job Summary

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy targeting Federal agencies including the Army, DISA, Navy, Air Force, and Department of Homeland Security. Manage the full BD lifecycle from opportunity identification and capture strategy to proposal support and contract transition. Establish trusted relationships with DoD decision-makers and industry partners while monitoring government portals daily to identify strategic fit opportunities. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to shape requirements early in the acquisition cycle and deliver weekly progress reports. Forecast new opportunities, maintain customer relationships, and contribute to the evolution of BD processes including CRM and proposal workflows. Requires five years of experience in Federal/DoD IT business development, an active Secret security clearance, and up to 25% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • associate's degree or higher
  • Five or more years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales within the Federal Government and/or Department of Defense (DoD) information technology market
  • Experience developing and executing market-entry and growth strategies
  • Experience identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and capturing small and large-scale Federal and DoD contract opportunities, preferably in the information technology sector
  • Demonstrated experience working with POM processes and contracting vehicles (e.g., IDIQ)
  • Experience building relationships with federal acquisition offices and collaborating with subcontractor and prime Federal Contractors
  • Experience pursuing tactical, operational, and strategic business development opportunities
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%
  • Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, as required
