Job Summary
Drive the US Preclinical and Clinical Solutions portfolio by introducing offerings to prospective clients, managing end-to-end processes from strategic planning to project delivery, and securing new business through consultative selling to biotech, pharmaceutical, and CRO decision-makers. Lead contract negotiations for Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work, conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events to expand brand visibility and attract new clients while achieving annual revenue targets. This role requires full autonomy to target specific customer segments and expand the client portfolio within a fully remote environment with approximately 50% business travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- PhD preferred
- Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering
- 7-10+ years in life sciences, pharmaceutical services, contract research organizations (CROs), or biotechnology environments
- 5+ years of consultative sales, key account management, or commercial growth roles selling complex CRO/scientific solutions
- Experience selling early-stage preclinical services AND/OR clinical solutions
- Proven track record of managing long, consultative sales cycles (6–18 months) involving cross-functional technical teams and procurement departments
- Consistent history of meeting or exceeding annual quota metrics (typically $3M – $10M+ in annual contract value
- Demonstrated capability in drafting, negotiating, and closing Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs)
- An active network of decision-makers within regional biotech hubs, pharmaceutical companies, academic research institutes
- Valid US driver's license
- Must have a valid US driver's license
- Frequent business travel (anticipated to be around 50%)
