Job Summary
Business Development Officer for Community Banking manages development of high-net-worth branch customers, prospecting new business, and delivering lending services (consumer & small business). The role coaches and leads branch staff, drives branch sales and profitability, uses tools such as Tableau, LoanFit, CARE Sales, and CD calculators, and engages in proactive outbound calls and on-site visits to grow banking relationships and deposit/loan growth while ensuring compliant operations. The position requires leadership of branch sales meetings, performance reviews, and collaboration with regional management and HR, with responsibilities including staffing, training, and adherence to bank policies and customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a four-year degree or equivalent in a business-related field such as finance, business administration, or accounting.
- Minimum five to ten years of general business experience with an additional five to ten years banking experience with proven sales successes and business relationship efforts.
- S.A.F.E. Act certification or eligibility to obtain certification prior to performing Mortgage Loan Originator duties (as applicable)
