Job Summary
Develop and prioritize a qualified pipeline of opportunities in Science + Technology, Education, and Arts markets across Northern California. Support principal-led relationship development with key decision-makers at the University of California, California State University, and private colleges while building networks with industry partners. Analyze market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics to translate insights into actionable targeting and pursuit strategies. Coordinate the full pursuit lifecycle from early positioning through interview preparation and post-interview debriefs, ensuring alignment with national messaging. Maintain accurate CRM data, track pipeline health, and facilitate introductions to strengthen firm presence. Partner with national leadership and regional teams to drive proactive, data-informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in business development, client engagement, or strategic marketing within the A/E/C industry
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based business development and pursuit support
- focusing on UC, CSU, Community College systems and private colleges
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable partnering with senior leaders in a matrixed organization
- Travel required throughout the Northern California region
- Home base is HGA's San Francisco office
