Business Development Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute targeted and measurable business development plans for assigned industrial markets (e.g., pulp & paper, power, metals, chemicals) and region; organize and communicate CRM efforts; research and prioritize new opportunities; create proposals and presentations with the VP of Business Development and marketing; travel and engage in networking events; assist operations with sales processes and final close to meet client needs; provide guidance to clients; uphold Yates Core Values and Safety Procedures. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on driving growth in construction and maintenance services across industrial sectors.
Required Qualifications
- An undergraduate university degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration)
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the construction industry or planning and implementing business development strategies
- Experience in both maintenance and capital construction projects is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of cost management tools
- Well-rounded base of knowledge in engineering and construction disciplines
- Proven track record of selling construction or a related service
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and graphic communication) and the ability to collaborate with marketing to produce highly professional proposals and presentations
- Computer skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud Programs if/when necessary
