Job Summary
Lead business development in designated markets for Chase's Business Banking; build relationships across branches and lines of business to provide tailored financial solutions and education for clients. Drive the client experience from initial contact through advisory services, coordinating with Chase Wealth Management, Home Lending, Branch Teams, and Merchant Services to connect clients with the right specialists. Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit and risk management to identify opportunities, promote solutions, and ensure portfolio profitability. Maintain and expand a strong business network and community involvement to develop prospects in designated markets. Requires 7+ years’ experience in business banking relationship management or related lending, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience). Preferred qualifications include extensive knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and credit training.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business/commercial lending experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong relationship management skills; demonstrate strong tactical business development and negotiation skills
- Proven experience to establish and develop relationships in emerging territories
- Utilize seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet client needs; monitors and researches market/industry trends and business outcomes to anticipate client needs
- Able to identify opportunities, issues and viable alternatives, while managing risk, when traditional solutions do not apply
