Job Summary
Business Development Manager responsible for driving new customer acquisition and growth in the Toronto region within the Global Payments ecosystem. Leads include hunting and closing B2B opportunities, developing referral partnerships, managing the sales process from needs discovery to account setup, and maintaining a loyal customer base through high-quality service. Requires building relationships, leveraging an extended local network, and delivering effective presentations. Role emphasizes strategic outreach, lead generation, use of Salesforce CRM, and achieving quarterly targets in a software/financial services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education is required (Bachelor degree in Sales and/or Marketing is preferred)
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience as a B2B Sales Representative
- Experience selling software or business financial services is an asset
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Extended local network and business contacts
- Demonstrated track record of achievement in selling products and/or services
- Goal-oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong presentation skills
- Must be familiar with Sales Funnel methodology and process
- Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
