Business Development Manager – Travel Retail Japan

Job Summary
Drive sales growth and retail performance across Travel Retail locations in Japan; monitor KPIs, stock levels, and product assortment; conduct business reviews and sales analysis; develop strong relationships with Travel Retail operators and store management; act as primary liaison between local partners and Diptyque HQ; support negotiations for visibility, activations, and retail opportunities; recruit, onboard, and coach Beauty Consultants; coach retail teams to maximize sales and customer experience; ensure premium brand presentation through merchandising and launches; provide market insights and field feedback to global stakeholders; frequent travel across the region; based in Tokyo and reporting to Travel Retail Director in France.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Retail, Travel Retail, Luxury, Beauty, Fragrance, Cosmetics, or related industries
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and retail locations is highly valued
- Experience in field sales, retail operations, business development, or area management is a plus
- Languages: Native Japanese and fluent business-level English required; French is a strong asset
