Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will lead revenue growth and profitability for SGWS in the Vancouver, WA area by managing and expanding key accounts within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets; evaluating local program spend to maximize profits; forecasting quarterly and monthly business for the territory; resolving conflicts and removing performance obstacles within the account base; tracking market trends and competitor activity; and collaborating with internal teams to align supplier strategies with company goals. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of sales experience, a valid driver’s license and insurance, budget management, strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and proficiency with Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof. The role demands strong communication, organizational, and planning capabilities and a willingness to work extended hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or 3-5 years of industry related sales experience
- 3-5 years of industry-related sales experience
- Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Manage and stay within a budget that may be assigned on behalf of the company
- Must demonstrate a strategic, analytical thought process
- Possess a clear understanding of financial acumen
- Ability to analyze data available to anticipate potential issues and proactively model potential solutions
- Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities
- Proficient using Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof
- Ability to understand supplier strategies and capability of aligning with internal and external teams
- Must be at least 21 years of age
