Job Summary
The Business Development Manager drives revenue growth for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in the assigned territory by leading account strategy, ROI analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize profits. Responsible for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets, communicating program spend effectiveness, projecting quarterly and monthly performance for the territory, resolving conflicts, and identifying market trends to stay ahead of the competition. Key tasks include analyzing data to anticipate issues, managing budgets, and coordinating with internal and external teams to align supplier and account strategies. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of industry-related sales experience, along with a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state registration and insurance, and a willingness to work beyond standard hours. Proficiency with Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof is noted, as is strong communication, organizational, and commercial planning capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or 3-5 years of industry related sales experience
- 3-5 years of industry-related sales experience
- Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Work week will often exceed 40 hours including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays when required
