Business Development Manager

Job Summary
Conduct consultative sales for macro-economic and political solutions to financial services, corporate, government, and consulting sectors by closing new business and growing existing contracts. Build and manage a robust pipeline via self-prospected cold calling and follow-up on marketing leads while leveraging discovery skills to connect client problems to our portfolio. Execute the full sales cycle, prepare accurate forecasts, and meet required KPIs within a territory of Fortune 100 and 500 accounts. Collaborate proactively with teams to develop creative solutions and continuously improve product knowledge. This role operates on a hybrid pattern with 3+ days office attendance, offering access to The Economist content and comprehensive wellbeing benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in enterprise sales, strategic business development, or account acquisition, with a proven track record of delivering commercial growth
- A proven track record of having successfully won new business contracts through cold calling
- Excellent communication, presentation, listening, negotiation and closing skills
- Successful track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Dynamic self-starter, solution-focused and creative thinker
- Ability to present complex ideas & products simply
- Ability to identify client challenges and develop creative solutions in close collaboration with colleagues and clients
- Strong organizational skills to set priorities and be flexible in a changing, fast-paced, and high-stress environment
- 3+ days office attendance
