Job Summary
Drive sales growth by expanding contacts with assigned customers in northern California, selling core testing services across aerospace, defense, and life sciences sectors. Proactively engage in outside selling at 150–200 locations to cultivate relationships and close deals using CRM software and negotiation skills. Inform clients about ATS offerings, provide demonstrations, and support industry events including trade shows and regional training activities. Conduct at least 60% of time in the field with up to 50% travel, maintaining a shared vision with peers to maximize synergy.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven experience in proactive outside selling
- Experience in testing services
- Experience in technical sales
- Experience in related industries
- Strong track record of achieving results
- Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or trade certificates
- Equivalent work experience in professional selling in industrial or technical environments
- At least 60% of time in the field
- Demonstrated expertise in technical sales
- Experience within critical industries
- Strong understanding of technical services and their applications
- Ability to convey complex solutions clearly
- Familiarity with quality, safety, or reliability processes and regulations within relevant industries
- Market knowledge of local and geographic dynamics affecting customer needs and buying behaviors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
