Job Summary
Business Development Manager for the Charlotte region in commercial and industrial construction. Responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic client acquisition, relationship management, and market expansion within the commercial and industrial construction sectors, with emphasis on advanced manufacturing, data centers, distribution facilities, and complex industrial projects. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, pursue new opportunities, build and maintain strategic client relationships with developers, manufacturers, industrial owners, architects, and engineers; lead proposals and competitive responses; conduct market intelligence to identify trends and opportunities; collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and marketing to develop client-specific materials; maintain accurate pipeline using CRM; mentor junior staff. Required: Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience; deep understanding of project delivery methods (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, CM at Risk, IPD, Progressive Design-Build); strong communication and relationship-building skills; construction industry expertise and financial acumen.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, marketing, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction business development, sales, or client-facing roles
- Construction experience required — background with manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, data centers, or other complex industrial projects
- Proven ability to identify, pursue, and win new business in industrial sectors
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar) and advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills
