Job Summary
Develop and implement sales strategies to identify and secure new business in a geographic area. Manage a minimum of 30 target accounts, identify prospects, and develop sales approaches through calls, proposals, presentations, in-office demonstrations, and follow-up activities. Act as the lead on identified target accounts, collaborate with branch office and Headquarters staff to close sales, and ensure sales goals and timelines are met. Analyze prospect requirements to tailor Company products and services, establish contacts in the business community through local networking, and document all activity in the Company database. Requires travel to customer sites and other company offices. Possess strong outside direct sales and consultative selling skills, ability to conduct cold calls, deliver effective presentations, and build long-term client relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet tools; self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of working autonomously within company guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous business development experience
- At least 3 years proven outside direct sales including developing sales strategies, experience with focus in consultative and conducting cold calls, making sales solution-oriented sales approaches. presentations, closing techniques
- Ability to travel to various locations (e.g., customer sites, other company offices)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to all clients
