Business Development Manager

Job Summary
Conduct market research and outreach activities to identify opportunities and prospective clients across building envelope, fire safety, and geotechnical service lines. Develop strategic business plans, facilitate proposal processes including budget and pricing, and maintain ongoing client relationships to anticipate and resolve needs. Perform 1-2 job site visits weekly, attend approved industry networking events, and track all opportunities in the CRM. Collaborate with technical staff to create presentation materials and estimates, while communicating campaign outcomes and lessons learned to internal groups. Maintain continuing education on the construction market and engage in bi-weekly reviews with the technical team to manage active targets.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of the project structure in a construction consultant business environment
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented and highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
- Willingness to travel within territory 50% of time, approximately 2-3 overnight stays per month, and a minimum of 1 day in office per week
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or similar preferred
- Prior experience with a CRM tool, as a relationship management tracking platform, specifically Deltek VantagePoint or Vision is a plus
- Experience in Design/Construction/Development industry, preferred
