Job Summary
Drive external business development efforts to expand membership, grow deposits, and strengthen business banking relationships with Select Employee Groups, businesses, associations, nonprofit organizations, and community partners. Lead, coach, and develop Business Relationship Managers to achieve sales, service, and relationship-building goals while maintaining a strong focus on member experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align growth initiatives, support strategic projects, and evaluate performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Balance external relationship development with internal leadership responsibilities to advance organizational objectives and deliver long-term value to both members and the Credit Union.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business
- 3–5 years of management experience in retail delivery or business development
- Proven experience in community and relationship development
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong time management and multitasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools (social media, webinars, chat platforms)
- Solid understanding of sales principles, financial services, and the credit union industry
- Knowledge of market trends, economic conditions, and target demographics
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence others
- Willingness to travel and actively engage in community and industry organizations
