Job Summary
Business Development Manager responsible for securing school partnerships and trainee placements, leading learner placement and career strategy, and driving sponsorship development. Focus on strategic B2B sales to Headteachers, MATs, and School Business Managers; build placement pipelines linking trainees to vacancies; place qualified trainees and teachers into long-term roles; negotiate sponsorships with schools and educational bodies; manage cohorts and engage Local Authorities to align SCCD programs with workforce needs; monitor KPI targets for school visits, SLAs, and learner placements; lead and scale the Sales and Placement teams while reporting pipeline forecasts to executives. Requires 3–5+ years in Education Recruitment or School Business Development, a closer mentality for multi-year SLAs, and leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience specifically within Education Recruitment or School Business Development
- Experience managing a recruiter desk
- Proven track record of cold-calling, pitching to Headteachers, and closing multi-year SLAs
- Leadership experience managing a team and driving revenue and placement targets
- Deep understanding of teacher placement and school needs
- Familiarity with Local Authorities and funding bodies is highly desirable
