Job Summary

Doka is seeking a Business Development Manager, Scaffolding Construction – APAC based in Malaysia to define and drive Ringlock shoring and scaffolding strategy across APAC markets, lead country-specific benchmarking, translate insights into recommendations, set revenue targets, manage large-scale bidding and pre-qualification documentation, identify country/project requirements, build a robust regional project pipeline, and develop a network of internal and external stakeholders. The role requires leading quotations for major projects, supporting sales teams during customer visits, sharing best practices, and delivering training to sales and engineering teams. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in shoring & scaffolding operations or APAC business development, a degree in civil engineering or equivalent, knowledge of Ringlock systems and industry codes, an established APAC client network, excellent English communication, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and willingness to travel across the APAC region. The position reports to the Head of Sales with a dotted line to the Director of Business Development Scaffolding and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a focus on driving revenue growth and coordinating with headquarters and local country organisations.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in shoring & scaffolding operations (contractor side) and/or business development (supplier side) within the APAC region
  • Degree or qualification in civil engineering or comparable discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems, including Ringlock, and relevant industry codes
  • Established network of potential scaffolding clients and key stakeholders in the APAC region
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Diplomatic and persuasive attitude with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to build trust, rapport, and professional networks
  • Strategic thinker with commercial understanding and a track record of achieving business targets
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region
  • Strong networking capabilities
