Job Summary
Develop Roux’s environmental consulting services from the Houston office by identifying, developing, and managing a clientele; promote services through prospecting and building client relationships, describing service advantages and benefits. Initiate 7-10 sales calls per week to create opportunities for Roux’s Senior-level and Principal-level technical staff to close long sales-cycle opportunities; attend sales calls, networking functions, and collaborate with marketing and technical teams to design client alerts, webinars, and panel discussions; cross-sell on sales calls and build prospecting lists using B2B tools; cultivate channel partners for referrals. The role requires field activities with occasional travel to project sites, and predominantly office work with the ability to drive to various sites; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Science, or Engineering)
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in environmental or engineering B2B sales
- Strong interpersonal skills—outgoing, ability to network
- Self-starter, organized, strong work ethic
- Basic computer skills proficiency
- Road travel and air travel as needed, some overnights
- Use of personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to sales calls and business development functions
