Job Summary
Business Development Manager for Public Sector and Government (South) at Iron Mountain focusing on driving net new sales to government accounts in the Southern region. You will lead revenue growth by prospecting, negotiating, and closing complex information-management solution proposals, collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic account plans, and manage detailed responses to RFPs while ensuring contract negotiations and DoD requirements compliance. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in government account management, strong strategic account management and solution selling capabilities, and proficiency in Challenger Selling and influencing C-level decision-makers; MBA is preferred for this leadership-oriented role.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing Government accounts
- strong knowledge of strategic account management and solution selling in government sector
- ability to prospect, negotiate, and close complex solution proposals for Public Sector and Government accounts
- experience with RFP responses and contract negotiations
- MBA preferred for leadership-oriented sales position
- Challenger Selling and Power Messaging abilities
- C-level stakeholder influence skills
- DoD requirements awareness
