Job Summary
Business Development Manager to drive new insurance broker growth, build and manage broker partnerships, partner with Marketing to craft campaigns and materials, conduct market research and competitive analysis, evaluate opportunities, develop business cases for product enhancements, and represent the company at industry events. Requires strong relationship management, negotiation and presentation skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel across Southwestern Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a broker-facing insurance role (such as Underwriting or Business Development)
- 3+ years of leadership experience in sales or marketing
- Active pursuit of or completion of a relevant insurance industry designation (CIP, FCIP, CRM)
- Strong understanding of broker workflows, operations, and technology
- Proven ability to develop and manage relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver impactful presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Southwestern Ontario
