Business Development Manager, Production Build Yacht

Job Summary
Lead development of the OEM and Production Build yacht segment globally, expanding AkzoNobel’s business from the traditional Yacht Coatings market into adjacent markets of production boat building for aluminum and fiberglass. Drive execution of sales and profitability targets for the Production Build segment by managing existing customers and developing new customers to specify AkzoNobel products, with initial focus on North America. Develop and leverage relationships with OEMs and builders and establish OEM commercial offers to meet their needs. Travel internationally, negotiate pricing, contribute to demand forecasting, and collaborate with Global Marketing, R&D, and Technical teams to position the brand and products. Ensure IBP processes related to product planning and demand forecasting are implemented for the segment, and uphold HSE standards and corporate policies. Strong emphasis on stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering targeted sales results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management, economics, or chemistry or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 plus years of work experience in commercial roles such as sale or key account management in B2B environment
- Experience working with OEMs strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a results-oriented mentality and drive to win.
- Excellent writing, presentations, presenting and one-to-one negotiations skills
- Ability to travel internationally and excel in multi-cultural environments.
- Ability to influence peers and management.
- Must work in close coordination with Technical, Marketing and R&D teams.
