Job Summary
Business Development Manager responsible for accelerating growth of Delta Steam Systems solutions across North America, opening new territories, expanding strategic accounts, and driving sustainable steam solutions. Role combines market development, partnership building, product positioning, and long-term strategic planning; requires technical sales discussions, qualification of opportunities, and data-driven decision making. Travel approximately 65% with in-person meetings, collaboration with Engineering and Account Management to deliver technical solutions, CRM updates to track targets and market insights, and development of structured sales processes to convert opportunities into long-term annuities. Focus on energy efficiency, industrial decarbonization, and expanding market presence in industries such as food & beverage, chemical processing, higher education, healthcare, and district energy. Compensation includes base salary $100K-$120K plus incentives; benefits include 401(k) with profit sharing, comprehensive health insurance, paid vacation and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in sales, business development, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience (process component or industrial sales experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of steam systems, HVAC, or industrial energy infrastructure
- Technical competence and experience, ideally in manufacturing or engineering-related sales
- Proficiency with CRM systems to manage accounts and sales pipelines
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities, sales opportunities, and time effectively
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Goal-oriented individual with a systematic approach to sales and marketing operations
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and leadership skills
