Business Development Manager - Payments (Amsterdam)

Job Summary
Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy for the Dutch and European payments market, identifying, qualifying, and closing new enterprise opportunities across digital commerce sectors. Build and maintain relationships with merchants, platforms, and industry stakeholders; design ROI-driven proposals; manage the full sales cycle from market analysis to negotiation, implementation, and go-live. Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Implementation teams; represent the company at industry events and partner networks. Hybrid role based in Amsterdam with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Requirements include 3+ years in payments/fintech, strong card acquiring and online payments knowledge, experience selling into digital commerce and high-risk online industries, proven enterprise sales track record, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and fluency in English (Dutch a strong advantage). Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in payments, acquiring, PSP, fintech, or related financial services
- Strong understanding of card acquiring, online payment processing, and payment ecosystems
- Experience selling into digital commerce, subscription, gaming, crypto, FX, or similar online industries is highly preferred
- Proven track record in managing complex B2B sales cycles and closing enterprise deals
- Strong consultative selling approach with experience engaging senior decision makers
- Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across international teams
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and strong reputation in the payments industry
- Fluent English required; Dutch language skills are a strong advantage
- Hybrid model of work – 3 days per week from the office and 2 days per week from home
