Job Summary
Business Development Manager responsible for growing travel-industry group travel sales in Ohio, developing relationships with key agencies, targeting new opportunities, and collaborating with an inside support team. Duties include leveraging CRM tools, planning and executing sales and marketing plans, participating in trade shows, and traveling extensively within the assigned territory, including evenings and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years in the travel industry in a sales role
- Experience with a tour operator selling group travel
- Experience selling group travel and maintaining relationships with key accounts
- Ability to target and achieve results and meet deadlines
- Utilize marketing collateral to secure placement in key agencies
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Participate in trade and consumer shows/events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tech savvy with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Develop detailed sales/marketing plans aligned with company goals
- Manage time and workflow effectively
- Able to travel extensively within territory
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
