Job Summary
Business Development Manager role focuses on creating and executing territory plans, aligning with regional resources, and positioning BHHC as the preferred market with agents. Responsibilities include managing agency partnerships, monitoring agency growth and profitability, conducting visits, and influencing partnerships by educating agents on BHHC’s offerings. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and possess significant experience in the workers' compensation insurance industry, with technical skills in business communication and software applications. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to analyze business and competitor information.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the workers compensation insurance industry (Mid-Level), and minimum of seven (7) years for Senior-Level, is required, preferably in a Marketing or Underwriting role.
- Proficient on the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Able to effectively present information to management and public groups.
- Able to develop, implement and communicate company programs, new business requirements, and agency action plans.
