Job Summary
The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in creating and executing territory plans while managing agency partnerships focused on achieving growth goals. Responsibilities include proactively seeking new agency appointments, monitoring agency growth and profitability, and developing agency profit improvement plans. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of experience in the workers compensation insurance industry, along with strong technical skills in business communication and Microsoft Office proficiency. Additional competencies include service orientation and effective relationship management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the workers compensation insurance industry (Mid-Level)
- Minimum of seven (7) years for Senior-Level is required, preferably in a Marketing or Underwriting role
- Proficient on the Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Able to effectively present information to management and public groups
- Able to develop, implement and communicate company programs, new business requirements, and agency action plans
