Business Development Manager - Machine Vision

Job Summary

Drive growth in FPGA-based machine vision solutions by identifying target segments across factory automation, robotics, automotive, and transportation systems. Build relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners to secure design wins and influence system architecture decisions against competing technologies. Develop high-impact sales collateral, including reference architectures and ROI analyses, while delivering technical presentations to support deal progression. Provide structured market feedback to product and engineering teams regarding I/O bandwidth, memory architecture, and Edge AI capabilities. This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 5+ years in machine vision or embedded edge systems. Salary ranges from $166.9K to $241.6K USD for Bay Area locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in: Machine vision, imaging systems, or embedded edge systems
  • Experience in Industrial, Automotive, or Transportation markets
  • Strong understanding of: Image sensors and camera architectures
  • Strong understanding of ISP and video processing pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Vision algorithms (filtering, segmentation, feature extraction)
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals (CNN inference pipelines)
  • Familiarity with key interfaces: SLVS, SLVS-EC, MIPI CSI-2, CoaXPress (CXP), GigE Vision, USB3 Vision
  • Experience engaging global customers and managing long design cycles

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with FPGA-based systems or FPGA solution selling
  • Understanding of: High-speed I/O and memory subsystems, PCIe architectures, Edge AI deployment constraints (latency, power, bandwidth)
  • Familiarity with: Automotive and infrastructure interfaces (e.g., GMSL, FPD-Link, Ethernet-based vision systems)
  • Awareness of safety-driven design considerations aligned with ISO 26262 & IEC 61508
  • Prior experience with: Camera OEMs, Frame grabber companies, Vision system integrators
  • MBA or business training is a plus
