Job Summary
Identify, approach, and convert new UK-based client opportunities across chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and related sectors; manage complex consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract close; build and maintain long-term client relationships across the UK; drive renewals and upselling through strategic account management; collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure credible, value-based solutions for clients; conduct in-person visits and cold calls to cultivate relationships; administer CRM and related systems; contribute to sustainable revenue growth in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development within chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, or related sectors
- Background in consultancy or experience working for a competitor is highly desirable
- Strong capability in needs analysis, value-based selling, and client retention
- Able to quickly assimilate technical knowledge and communicate complex expertise clearly
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
- Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- In-person visits and cold calls to cultivate relationships
- CRM system proficiency and cross-functional collaboration
