Job Summary
Drive new business development and manage sales activities across Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky to exceed yearly territory sales goals. Grow the customer base, sales pipeline, and conversion dollars while establishing executive relationships and acting as the primary customer interface for two-way communication. Develop strategies to optimize customer satisfaction, maximize revenue, and position Hirose as a key supplier for top-tier accounts. Collaborate with distributor account managers, product management, and engineering teams to drive design wins, manage NPI plans, and maintain distributor registration programs. Complete quote activities end-to-end, deliver targeted product presentations, and maintain accurate Salesforce data for forecasting and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- BS/A degree in Business or Technical field
- 3+ years outside sales experience in the electronic component industry
- Technical knowledge to fully comprehend the customer's requirements and provide the appropriate Hirose product solution
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management skills
- Organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to work with both external and internal customers
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate across different cultures
- Presentation skills including creating PowerPoint presentations
- Ability to resolve issues and escalate in a timely fashion and to the customer's needs
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Self-motivated & positive attitude with great energy
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
