Job Summary
Seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and secure new business growth opportunities while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include developing growth strategies, maintaining equipment knowledge, increasing the customer base, drafting contracts, negotiating with stakeholders, researching business opportunities, and customizing service solutions. Ideal candidates will have a proven sales record, experience in customer management, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Proven career of sales success (including cold calling)
- Customer management and retention experience
- Sound communication and negotiation skills (written and oral)
- Ability to build rapport at all levels (both internally and externally)
- Time management and planning skills
- Determined, resilient and results focused
- Ability to work well under pressure, identify opportunities and secure new business
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Food Service, Waste or Recycling (highly regarded)
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Skilled in engaging prospects through cold outreach
- Experienced in overcoming objections and building rapport quickly
- Ability to deliver engaging proposals and presentations
