Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while building strong customer relationships to drive success. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospective customers, utilizing consultative selling techniques, and strategically cultivating long-term partnerships. Required skills include a minimum of 5 years outside sales experience, a proven track record in meeting sales goals, and strong problem-solving and communication abilities. Candidates should have a high school diploma, with a preference for a 2- or 4-year college degree.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years outside sales experience
- Proven track record in meeting sales goals, account retention and account penetration
- Excellent and proven experience in territory planning and time management
- Excellent and proven experience in time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and develop action plans
- Experienced in utilizing MS Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel often in the assigned territory
Desired Qualifications
- Cutting tools/Metalworking/industrial/MRO experience
- Previous Machining experience
- Lean qualified
- Automated Procurement Systems (e.g. industrial vending) experience
- Previous experience with CRM
