Job Summary
Business Development Manager specialized in defense sales, responsible for identifying and executing RFIs and RFQs, managing the full sales lifecycle, and building strategic relationships with defense agencies. Remote role reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development. Responsibilities include establishing new business opportunities through active customer acquisition, ensuring participation in applicable defense agency RFIs and RFQs, coordinating with technical program management, systems engineering, and Tier 1 partners to form efficient key account teams, defining and negotiating unit pricing and terms for development and supply agreements with legal and finance, serving as the primary interface with defense agencies, and maximizing customer satisfaction by representing customer needs within Aeva. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in defense sales
- experience with defense agencies and prime contractors
- experience managing full sales lifecycle
- ability to establish relationships with defense decision makers
- travel readiness up to 25% domestically and internationally
