Job Summary
Business Development Manager (Land) responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new Defence Land opportunities globally, blending hunting for new opportunities with farming existing accounts. Lead opportunity shaping from early engagement through capture planning to handover to bid execution, develop early engagement strategies with OEMs, system integrators, primes, and MOD customers, build and maintain a robust Land sales pipeline, shape customer requirements to align with Analox capabilities, and lead bid/no-bid assessments. Drive account development to grow revenue within established Land accounts, manage programme lifecycles, strengthen relationships across buying committees, and develop pricing strategies and negotiation support in line with governance. Represent Analox in Defence markets, contribute to market intelligence and strategy, and deliver measurable growth in Land opportunities and customer penetration. Ensure regulatory alignment with Contracts & Compliance, and participate in trade exhibitions and industry forums. Essential background includes Defence business development experience, knowledge of military procurement frameworks, and strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills; desirable items include OEM/Tier 1 exposure, engineered systems/ safety-critical tech, and export control familiarity. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Defence business development, sales, or account management; or military materiel/procurement
- Experience operating within Land systems, armoured vehicles, tactical platforms, or related environments
- Knowledge of military procurement frameworks and contracting models
- Demonstrated ability to secure new business and grow existing accounts
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
