Job Summary
Promote Gordon architectural solutions to major firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, establishing relationships with key stakeholders and national-level architects to secure project contract awards. Implement project strategy alongside external sales reps, develop specs and drawings with internal technical resources, and partner with architects to design and specify products into project scopes. Create strategic presentations with Marketing support, identify early design opportunities, and provide architectural and design support to contractors and manufacturers' reps while driving internal product feedback. Work with the Global Director of Sales to achieve market targets, with the requirement to physically reside in the DFW area and flexibility to travel daily. Flexible work from home options are available.
Required Qualifications
- This position requires the candidate to physically reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
- flexibility to travel throughout the market on any given workday
- 5+ years of experience in commercial building product sales
- 5+ years of experience collaborating with national-level designers, architects, and engineers
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent working experience in manufacturing, architecture, construction, or a related field
- A proven track record of sales success and growth
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Proven success managing the full product specification lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent presentation ability
- Strong sense of accountability — you do what you say you're going to do
- A positive, solutions-oriented attitude
- Comfortable identifying and escalating risk proactively
- Able to read and interpret project plans, product drawings, and specifications
- Capable of working independently and autonomously, with minimal instruction
- Open to feedback and adaptable to change
