Job Summary
Conduct marketing and business development activities as an account representative and subject matter expert for the Commercial Litigation and Labor & Employment practice groups. Act as an internal consultant to help clients improve their marketing effectiveness while managing projects including advertising, public relations, media relations, proposal writing, and event coordination. Collaborate with attorneys and industry groups to analyze regulatory environments, develop strategic plans, and provide business development coaching. Supervise a marketing coordinator by organizing schedules, managing productivity, and overseeing hiring and performance evaluations. Work directly with Practice Group Leaders on strategic direction, budget adherence, and retreat planning. Maintain a hybrid schedule of two to three in-office days per week within a professional office atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience, or equivalent
- Ability to work well with attorneys
- Collaboratively with the MCD team
- Excellent client service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage concurrent, significant projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to see both the forest and the trees: strategic thinker with ability to focus on tactics and process
- Basic Microsoft Office application skills
- Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds
- Repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment
- Speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand
- Regularly understand the speech of another person
- Hybrid schedule offering both in-office connection and flexibility
- Occasional off-hour meetings and events
- Travel to firm office locations during the business week for meetings and events
- Some overnight/weekend travel may be expected
Desired Qualifications
- BA or BS degree preferred, or additional equivalent experience
- MBA or JD a plus
- Marketing, business development, or public relations experience preferred
- Experience in the professional services field preferred
- Interest and aptitude for technology solutions
