Job Summary
Business Development Manager for the Eastern Upstate New York territory, primarily Albany area. Responsibilities include selling guided travel, identifying growth areas, opening new accounts, and developing long-term relationships with guests and travel professionals. Travel throughout the territory to promote Collette travel experiences, support partner marketing efforts, and present to potential travelers daily. Manage B2B and B2C sales to meet/exceed revenue goals, prospect for new business, develop partnerships, and leverage data and internal collaboration to align with sales priorities. Lead education of travel professionals about Collette’s products and promotions, participate in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows. Requires strong relationship management, effective communication, proactive mindset, and willingness to travel overnight up to 5+ nights per month. Bachelor’s degree preferred; growth-oriented, self-sufficient, and brand-aligned with Collette.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- History of high levels of achievement and overcoming obstacles in business, academics, or athletics
- Strong relationship development and management skills
- Effective communicator in varying mediums and to a variety of audiences
- Proactive, trustworthy and self-driven approach to business
- Growth mindset leading to continual development
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to be self-sufficient through problem solving and leveraging all available resources
- Capacity to travel overnight – up to 5+ nights a month and to domestic and international sales trips
