Job Summary
Business Development Manager responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across Northern and Southern California. Translate customer needs into engineered door-and-frame solutions, collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, build and maintain strategic relationships with architects, contractors, distributors, and other decision-makers, and drive an aggressive go-to-market strategy. Responsibilities include developing regional market strategies, managing proposals to ensure competitiveness, maintaining CRM records and performance metrics, and representing the company at industry events and customer visits. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 5+ years in business development/sales, strong knowledge of building materials, and up to 50% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in a custom manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction cycles, and specification-driven sales
- Demonstrated ability to open new doors, close strategic deals, and manage a technical sales process
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and ability to analyze market data to inform strategy
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support customer engagement and industry networking
