Job Summary
Lead business development, marketing, and communications initiatives for Covington & Burling's Regulatory practice across Technology, Media & Communications, including Technology & Communications, Media & Entertainment, Gaming, Transportation & Mobility, and Artificial Intelligence. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify priority clients, execute targeted business development initiatives, and support strategic planning, budget oversight, and quarterly practice reviews. Manage and coordinate pitches, RFP responses, and client meeting preparation, while tracking and reporting on business development performance and outcomes. Support the integration of lateral attorneys through strategic positioning with practice leadership. Monitor regulatory, industry, and competitive trends to inform practice growth, and support high-impact sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives. Provide comprehensive marketing and business development support, including events, content development, directory and award submissions, communications, and database management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, marketing or other professional services settings; prior law firm experience strongly preferred
