Job Summary
Business Development Manager for the Pulp & Paper sector in Sweden. Responsible for achieving sales targets, driving customer loyalty and satisfaction, identifying opportunities for cross- and bundle-selling with existing and new customers, conducting customer visits, laboratory work and testing, providing technical support when needed, coordinating with production units for mixed products and new product development, planning joint customer visits with suppliers, and collaborating with stakeholders to quickly craft the best offering and maximize value. Serves as the main contact for selected customers on technical and commercial matters, conducts market studies to assess interest and demand for potential new product opportunities, develops and tracks opportunities in the pipeline using available tools (e.g., SAP CRM), and travels within Sweden and the Nordic region, with occasional international travel. Located in Malmö, Sweden; emphasis on sales, business development, chemistry/paper technology knowledge, and CRM usage; bachelor-level or higher education in related fields preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant university-level education in economics, technology or equivalent; chemistry and/or paper technology is meritful
- Minimum 5 years experience in the paper chemical industry or related sales/business development
- Good knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing, wet chemistry, coating and conversion processes; experience in coloring and bleaching is meritorious
- Technical knowledge of dosing and storage equipment for chemicals
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills and CRM systems
- Customer-focused with a positive customer experience orientation
- Entrepreneurial mindset; strong communication and negotiation skills; high degree of self-management
