Job Summary
Actively identify potential markets and customers, develop strategies to differentiate the company, and establish plans to expand the customer base in specific verticals or geographic locations. Work with real decision makers to assess needs, gain agreement on business cases, and construct winning proposals that include quotes and unique qualifications. Present proposals to decision makers, manage objections regarding timing, price, and competition, and lead negotiations to go or no-go decisions. Proactively initiate contact with potential partners, influencers, and customers to cultivate meaningful business relationships and increase pipeline growth quarter over quarter. This role requires a proven history of prospecting and acquiring new customers within the commercial electronic security, fire alarm, and systems integration sectors. The position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000-$95,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Proven history of prospecting and acquiring new customers
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Expertise in assigned vertical market and territory
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong team player and communicator with an ability to work under pressure in a structured environment
- Strong leadership qualities, ability to influence others and support a sales team
- Experience in participating in the recruitment process
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
- College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years sales including 2 years in the area of commercial (electronic security, fire alarm, systems integration)
