Job Summary
Drive business growth in the maritime sector by identifying opportunities, building relationships with shipping companies and maritime service providers, and expanding the company’s footprint. Develop and execute strategic business development plans, collaborate with sales/marketing/technical teams to create tailored proposals, conduct market research and competitive analysis, negotiate contracts to maximize revenue, and represent the company at industry events. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in maritime business development or sales, with strong communication and negotiation skills and willingness to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the maritime or shipping industry.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and closing business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of maritime industry dynamics, regulations, and client challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
