Business Development Executive

Job Summary

Conduct industry and competitive research to identify vertical market software businesses across Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and the broader CEE and Balkans region. Engage with target business owners, shareholders, and senior executives regarding potential acquisitions through cold outreach, scheduling introductory calls, and presenting Vesta's value proposition. Develop and grow the deal pipeline by attending regional trade shows, broker road shows, and engaging regularly with existing leads in the database. Maintain the group's deal funnel, prospect information, and reporting in the proprietary Salesforce database. Make recommendations to senior leadership for new prospect strategies based on strategic criteria. Requires 2+ years of sales or business development experience, bilingual fluency in English and a key regional language, and 37.5 scheduled weekly hours.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Sales or Business Development experience
  • exposure to the Central and Eastern European market and/or the Balkans
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in cold calling, prospecting, and sales processes
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to plan own work schedule, to set and monitor personal performance goals
  • Bilingual fluency in English and at least one key regional language (Romanian, Hungarian, Czech, Serbian, Croatian, Bulgarian, or Greek)

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration, business, or a related area of study or equivalent
  • Prior software experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and software businesses
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Additional European languages
