Job Summary
Business Development Executive focused on cultivating relationships with architects, general contractors, developers and other specifiers to drive and close sales for commercial projects. Responsibilities include prospecting daily to generate new opportunities, promoting products for commercial specifications, researching potential prospects, establishing contact with key decision makers (Managing Partners, VP of Development/Construction, Chief Estimators, Internal Architects, Design Directors), compiling developer/architect/general contractor contacts for automated outreach, maintaining high levels of account management and follow-ups, engaging with general contractors for pre-qualification, sending bid invitations, coordinating with project management to align and close sales, and planning/showcasing showroom tours and industry events (AIA, ASID, IIDA) to drive revenue targets. The role requires leveraging CRM/Prospecting tools, cold calling, networking, and on-site client visits to grow the book of business, with a focus on new development and multi-family opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in a B2B environment with exposure to commercial sectors, building materials industry, and/ or selling products for new development and multi-family homes
- Knowledgeable in commercial space plans and drawings
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Self-driven to develop own book of business through cold calling & networking
- Proficiency in CRM and prospecting tools, preferably with experience BCI & Zoom Info USA
- Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation for client visits and on-site meetings
- High School Diploma: Associates preferred
- BA – Interior Design/Architecture is a PLUS
