Job Summary
Drive strategic growth by developing and executing business development plans to identify and win public and private clients; identify emerging markets, lead pursuits, and manage a robust pipeline from initial contact to signed contracts. Collaborate with senior leadership, engineering, project delivery, and marketing to develop compelling proposals, lead client meetings, and deliver cross-functional handoffs. Maintain client relationships, forecast revenue, and track KPIs while traveling 30-50% of the time. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field with advanced degree preferred and 10+ years of business development experience in engineering consulting or related technical industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of business development experience in engineering consulting, A/E/C, or related technical industries
- Demonstrated success in winning engineering consulting projects and managing complex pursuits
- Experience working in a matrixed, multidisciplinary environment
- CRM fluency with data-driven pipeline management capabilities
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
- Ability to travel 30-50% of the time
