Job Summary
Business Development Executive in Mid-Corporate Banking (Executive Director level) responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships in the Middle Market Banking segment. Lead prospecting and client acquisition, collaborate with Banking, Credit, Treasury, Service, Asset Management and Investment Bank teams to introduce product capabilities, and cross-sell to maximize revenues while mitigating risk. Mentor and coach banking team; measure success through activity, proposals, revenue, and relationship-building with centers of influence. Requires 10 years of client-management/credit-related experience and FINRA licenses (63, 79, and SIE) or ability to obtain within 180 days; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Federal Deposit Insurance Act considerations apply.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of direct client management, lending, credit support, or similar industry related experience
- FINRA Series 63, 79 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or ability to obtain licenses within 180 days of hire
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services
- Experience in cross-selling products, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong business development skills; including tactical selling and negotiation
- Ability to partner well; i.e., develop and maintain positive and productive internal relationships with product partners, credit executives, senior management, client service, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including proposal writing and public speaking
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Formal bank credit training is preferred
