Job Summary
Business Development Director – Taiwan will act as BJAK’s on-the-ground representative, responsible for building strategic insurer partnerships, navigating local market and regulatory dynamics, and executing commercial strategies that drive measurable revenue impact. Own end-to-end execution across partnerships, revenue, and performance, shaping Taiwan growth strategy with the Country Manager while leading partnership acquisition, lifecycle management, negotiations, onboarding, and go-lives. Drive fast-market-entry partnerships, manage a robust pipeline, ensure disciplined CRM hygiene, and collaborate with legal, product, technology, operations, and compliance to finalize agreements. Lead revenue delivery, KPI performance, and identify cross-sell opportunities. Serve as a strategic advisor on market dynamics and regulatory considerations, representing leadership in communications with regulators and partners. Ensure governance and operational excellence, compliance with policies, and effective stakeholder communication. Requirements include Taiwan residency, 5+ years in insurance/fintech with strong negotiation capability, insurer economics/underwriting knowledge, established Taiwan network, and the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.
Required Qualifications
- Taiwan permanent residency
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance and/or fintech
- Strong commercial and negotiation capability
- Proven understanding of insurer economics, underwriting considerations, and partnership structures
- Established network within the Taiwan insurance ecosystem
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
