Job Summary
Drive new business for BHS Construction by identifying opportunities with design firms and key stakeholders, initiating creative programs to generate work, and maintaining relationships that lead to future projects. Manage overall business development activities by watching bid boards, conducting market analysis to understand competition, and developing the annual sales strategy. Meet qualified prospects to build trust, coordinate site visits, and present customer information to appropriate personnel for estimating and project management. Develop and nurture Subcontractor/Supplier relationships while representing the company in external marketing efforts and attending industry events. Prepare clear reports and documentation, update customer records, and provide support on assigned sales campaigns. Requires 5-10 years of sales experience, excellent communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in industry-related sales or business development for financing institutions
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to maintain a consistently positive attitude and outlook
- Ability to work additional hours to meet business demands
- May work evenings and weekends to meet job assignment requirements
- Day travel is expected with this role – amount as needed to support the role
