Job Summary
Business Development Director position for AFG Group, Inc. with remote work within the Virginia/Maryland/DC metro area. Lead BD for Federal/Public Agencies, Healthcare/Laboratories, Transportation, Courts & Criminal Justice, and Education markets. Develop 5-year growth plans, manage opportunity pipelines, and coordinate with a seller-doer network of senior program and project managers. Travel across the Eastern United States as needed. Requires Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years in Federal/BD within the AEC industry, security clearance (Active Secret preferred), and strong proposal development and executive briefing skills. Oversees development of win themes, pursuit plans, white papers, RFIs, and proposals; mentors directors in BD strategies; interfaces with cross-functional, matrixed teams; uses Deltek Vision and MS Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years’ business development within the AEC industry
- Professional certifications such as Registered Architect (RA), CCM, or PE preferred
- 5 years’ working on Federal Sector business development programs
- Strong proposal and technical writing ability
- Security clearance required; Active Secret preferred
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance; Active Secret clearance preferred
- Technical writing and proposal development experience
- Strong verbal communication and prior executive briefing experience
